Honor Choirs
The vocal music department of Moffat County High School announced recent selections to honor choirs.
Laurel Luke has been chosen from about 2,000 students who auditioned to attend the Colorado All-State Honor Choir in Fort Collins in February.
Ten students have been accepted into either the Women’s or Mixed Choirs for the Western Slope Honor Choir to be held in Gunnison in March: Amanda Cutler, Amber Delay, Holly Firestone, Deidra Grey, Emily Krogman, Laurel Luke, Robert McClellan, Caitlin Rudd, William Schneegas and Katie Zwernik.
Students must be proficient in a variety of skills in addition to performing a solo to be considered for inclusion. They will have the opportunity to perform with other vocal students from across the state and learn from nationally known educators and directors.
