Health Briefs: Free cardiovascular screenings offered on World Heart Day Thursday

Northwest Colorado Health is recognizing World Heart Day by offering drop in cardiovascular screenings 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at Northwest Colorado Health, 745 Russell St. Screenings include blood glucose test, cholesterol panel, blood pressure, body mass index and personalized education to help individuals prevent heart disease. Drop in flu clinic offered Oct. 12

Northwest Colorado Health is holding a drop in flu clinic 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 12 at The Journey at First Baptist Church, 1150 West Ninth St. Flu and pneumonia shots will be available for adults and children. Costs vary. Please bring Medicare, Medicaid, CHP+ (Child Health Plan Plus) or other insurance card. Low cost options are available to individuals who do not have insurance.
