Hayden Town Council to consider creation of park

— The Hayden Town Council will consider a small park when it meets at 7:30 p.m. today at Hayden Town Hall, 178 W. Jefferson Ave.

Resident Donna Hellyer has approached the city about placing a gazebo on the property donated by the Hefty family at 141 S. Walnut St. Hellyer also has indicated that she would work with the Hayden Garden Club or others to plant flowers at the site.

If approved by Town Council members, the property would not be maintained by Hayden. It also would be used as winter snow storage.

Town Council members also will consider a Dry Creek Park disc golf course memorandum of understanding with Routt County.

Staff and councilmember reports are scheduled for 7 p.m. before the regular session.
