The Haven assisted living facility honored Leslie Yount on her 98th birthday Nov. 23.

The annual Christmas tree festival will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.

Diane Kochenhour, her husband and sons visited her mother in Meeker, Colo., over Thanksgiving.

Fred Hughes honored his wife, Karen, with a family birthday party at the Glen Eden Ranch. Some of their family spent the night in the cabins before going home.

The Patti Jo Spencer Memorial Games were held Nov. 24 in the high school gym.

John and Alice Carroll, Brianna and Brandon, have moved and now live on Hospital Hill at the past residence of Alice's grandfather, R.N. Robinson, and the late Mac Robinson.

Mr. and Mrs. Shane Camilletti hosted Thanksgiving dinner at their home in Craig for family and close friends.

The Routt County 4-H achievement celebration held at the exhibit hall was attended by about 240 people. Routt County residents hope that each and every year this program will become bigger and better.

Ellen Bullard and Olive Dean Blake traveled to Denver to attend a festival of musical plays.

Jimmy Walker, a college student at the University of Wyoming, was home for a pre-Thanksgiving visit with his family.

On Nov. 19 a large crowd of Hayden folks were at the Hayden High School for a fun night. Grand Futures, CAN and the Booster Club were each a part of the barbecue served in the middle school cafeteria for the basketball game between the Harlem Ambassadors and Hayden All-stars.

Tatum Lombardi, granddaughter of Denny and Gretchen Hayes of Craig and great-granddaughter of Dorothy Springer of Steamboat Springs, is recovering from a lengthy illness corrected by recent surgery.

Jean Olson, Kathy Smith and myself helped Sylvia Walker celebrate her birthday Nov. 20 with a belated lunch in Craig.

On Nov. 20 and 21 a group of dedicated Hayden folks worked to put up new lights on (the now famous in the valley) Spencer Christmas tree located on Dave Spencer’s property. To be commended for their effort of making the tree exceptionally beautiful for 1999 and the upcoming years are: Ben Dunning, Peggy Dunning, Danny Dunning, Spencer Smith, Keith Spencer and Dave Spencer. Cromer Contractors furnished the bucket truck. Plans were made to have the lights on by today.
