Carol Rickman has returned home following surgery in Denver. She is doing well at this time.

Dylon Camilletti celebrated his seventh birthday with a party at the Craig swimming pool Aug. 22. Nearly 20 cousins and friends were there. They had refreshments, fun packs and watched Dylon open gifts.

On Sept. 11, the Girl Scouts will host a cook-out for seniors and grandparents from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Hayden Town Park. Hot dogs, salad, watermelon and drinks will be served.

Carolyn Montieth hosted a luncheon at her home Aug. 13. Her guests had lunch, fellowship and a special video.

On Sept. 12, Lorraine Morrison is having a piano recital at 2:30 p.m. in the Hayden High School auditorium. This will be special as Lorraine has promised her students that she will also play. Refreshments will follow.

Sylvia Walker has returned home from Albuquerque, N.M., following a month-long stay with her mother. While there, she spent time with her other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Parrott, Mr. and Mrs. Todd Dunckley, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Barnes returned home from a five-day vacation to Lake Powell.

Helen Perry moved from the Haven to Cedaredge to be closer to her son.

Many folks went to the Routt County Fair and Rodeo which consisted of horse shows, Rebekah dinner, parade, exhibits, rodeo, livestock sale, barbecue, bands and yard sales around town.

The Hayden Public Library hosted a carnival at the Congregational Church parish hall Aug. 25 as the Summer Reading Program has been completed for the 1999 year. Forty-one children were able to attend. Fun things at the carnival were: pin the fin, wet and wild, slip and slide, fortune telling, candle squirt, book walk, fish pond, bean bag toss and sponge throw.
Holly Sargent, Braylin Wertenberger, Aaron Hornstein, Ann Yeager and Becky Rosendale received prizes for the fish count.
