Hayden secondary schools students protesting proposed change to class schedule
HAYDEN — Hayden secondary school students walked out of their classes Thursday morning in protest of a proposed change to their class schedules for the 2018-19 school year.
According to a post on Facebook, students are upset that the administration “has changed our current school block schedule to a 7 hour traditional schedule.”
Student Thalia Carbajal wrote that the change “will effect concurrent enrollment, credits, votech program, art programs and many other items.”
Steamboat Today Reporter Matt Stensland is on his way to Hayden to learn more, and this story will be updated.
