Guest teacher orientation set for Sept. 25 in Craig

CRAIG — Guest teachers are being hired by Moffat County School District with an orientation to commence Tuesday, Sept. 25.

“We strive to attract the best guest teachers for our kids and do our best to stay competitive with our incentive and pay,” according to a recent announcement from Moffat County School District.

Guest teachers earn the following rates of pay and bonuses.

Daily rates
• $11.25 per hour for guest classified staff.
• $90 per day for certified guest teachers with one year of authorization.
• $100 per date for certified guest teachers with three-year authorizations.
• $110 per day for Moffat County School District certified retirees.

Bonuses 
• Those who substitute 40 or more days in the first semester receive a $400 bonus.
• Those who substitute 50 or more days in the second semester receive a $500 bonus.

To become a certified guest teacher, applicants must complete the substitute authorization process online at cde.state.co.us/cdeprof ,and all guest teachers and guest classified staff must apply online at  moffatsd.org.

Guest teacher orientation will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the school district’s administration Building, 775 Yampa Ave.
