Gregory Smith: Dedicate field to Deyo

A fantastic idea was brought forth tonight on Facebook by Angie Dawson. Doug Deyo was a great teacher and inspiration to his students here in Moffat County. I know many folks here in town were influenced by his teaching. Deyo was a long-time caretaker of the Craig Municipal Pool, as well as a great coach and referee at many high school football games and wrestling matches. I am sure many folks here in Craig knew him and worked for him on the high school teams. It is time Mr. Deyo was recognized for the tremendous influence he had on many generations of Moffat County High School graduates. Angie suggested naming the football field at the middle school after him. This is the least we can do for a man that dedicated his life to the furthering of Moffat County youth. I ask that we consider naming the Craig Middle School football field “Doug Deyo Memorial Field” in honor of such a great citizen of Craig.
10:05 a.m. On the 2000 block of West Victory Way, police in Craig responded to a road rage call. Craig police said a caller reported a driver with a child in the backseat was driving erratically. When
