• Approved, 3-0, a $27,629 bid from Stripe A Lot for roadway striping.

– Review and sign the following documents: Approve April 20, May 5, 19 and 26, and June 2 meeting minutes; warrant resolutions; NRC Broadcasting credit application for the Moffat County Fair; amendment to CSBG contract for 2009-10; Department of Local Affairs grant contract for phase II of County Road 7 overlay project; and letter of permission for Grand Olde West Days committee to have a beer garden at the Moffat County Fair.

Craig City Council

Last met: June 9


• Approved, 6-0, a $169,381 grant from HD Supply, a national company, for various waterline pipes and valves. It was the low bid submitted.

City staff plan to replace several lines across town, including large pipelines from the water treatment plant that lie under First Street.

The project is expected to cost about $400,000, half of which will be paid for by a Colorado Department of Local Affairs grant.

• Approved, 5-1, renewing liquor licenses for Mathers Bar and Loaf ‘N Jug. Councilor Byron Willems cast the dissenting vote.

He said business owners should appear at council meetings when the city plans to discuss their liquor licenses, or their licenses should be denied.

The council plans to discuss a possible policy change in the future.

• Approved, 6-0, transferring the ownership of the retail liquor license for Craig Liquor to Soni Vice, who plans to take over ownership of the business under the name Lariat Liquors. Vice attended the meeting and addressed the council.
