Glenda Tibbs: Drive safe

To the editor:

It’s spring and time for road construction. Please be aware of all those construction signs out there for slower speeds. When a sign that a flagger is holding says “slow,” that’s what it means. It’s in the main construction zone, and someone could be crossing the road or a truck could be pulling out and you couldn’t stop fast enough before causing an accident. The flaggers are there for your protection and also for the protection of the workers. Stop at least one full car length in front of the stop sign of a flagger. It’s common sense and also for safety reasons. Please be aware and drive safe.
