Gene Bruce of Craig died April 27, 2005, at the VA Medical Center in Grand Junction. He was 80.



Bruce was born April 9, 1925, at Drumwright, Okla., to Giddeon and Zelma Bruce.

Bruce was a resident of Craig for the past 50 years where he owned and operated the B&B Drive In. He loved all of his employees. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He also loved his family.



Bruce is survived by his nieces Sharon Dee McClain of Craig, Kaby (Vince) Turner of Craig, and Colleen (Joe) Bower of Craig; nephews Tim Turner of Craig, and Kanton Ruff of Craig; and great-nephew, Josh Bower of Craig.

At Gene’s request, cremation will take place and no services are planned.
