The season has begun for Colorado Northwestern Community College soccer teams, as the men’s and women’s Spartan squads start the program’s second year.
CNCC hosted a triangular event during the Labor Day weekend at Loudy-Simpson Park, bringing in Wyoming’s Gillette College and Trinidad State Junior College.
Friday saw the men fall 3-0 to Gillette, while the women’s small roster contributed to a 16-0 defeat to the Pronghorns.
The Spartan teams next went up against the Trojans of Trinidad Sunday afternoon, with men taking a 5-0 loss and women 17-0.
The CNCC teams will begin Scenic West Athletic Conference play this weekend, traveling for their first league games at Salt Lake Community College.
