Craig Press Staff Report

It’s not unusual to see livestock on the streets of Craig anytime of the year, but it just made good sense Friday afternoon.

As part of the centennial celebration for the Moffat County Fair, community members turned out downtown for a special parade to commemorate 100 years of the event.

Among those highlighted in the parade down Yampa Avenue and Victory Way were Grand Marshal Karl Huntsman, the newly re-installed Fair Queens, numerous floats from local groups and of course, entries from 4-H members, including horses, longhorns and more to honor the agricultural heritage of Moffat County.

The 100th Moffat County Fair takes place through Aug. 11 at Moffat County Fairgrounds. For a full schedule of events, visit
