Gabriel Daigle: Love your children

To the editor:

Please, parents don’t forget to tell your children every single day that you love them very much.

Every day, spend at least one hour with them to show them that you care for your children. Your love and your time is the most important thing you can do for your little ones.

Yes, more important than nice homes, cars and, yes, money.

If we as parents don’t spend time today with our children, very soon they will be grown up without the love they all deserve, and they won’t have the memory of being loved at home when they were little children.

Parents don’t put the very most important thing in your life last. Please, for your children’s sake, love them with all your heart.

I, for one, wasn’t the dad I could and should have been. But, I never forgot to tell my son and daughter how much I loved them and cared for them. My wife and I spent a lifetime with our children, doing things for them and with them.

So, in the morning before you hug your pets, be sure to hug your children and tell them how much you love and care for them, please.

For our Heavenly Father loves all of us more than we can ever imagine. The Cross was one perfect example of his love for us all.
