Fundraising drive gets wheels as Craig auto dealership donates $25K
CRAIG — Cook Chevrolet and Cook Ford presented a $25,000 check to the Memorial Regional Health Foundation toward the construction of a new medical office building in Craig.
“Health care is important to everyone,” said owner Scott Cook. “We want to thank the department heads, employees and our customers for being able to do this.”
The donation arrived in the same week the foundation learned it would receive a $500,000 grant, boosting total donations to $750,000.
“I think we’ve got momentum. It’s exciting,” said MRH Foundation Chair Kristine Cooper.
In the foundation’s quest to raise $1 million, every little bit counts, and Cooper said they have been receiving smaller donations from individuals across the community.
“We appreciate the support,” said MRH Foundation Director Eva Peroulis. “We have a very generous community.”
One more thing, said Cook: “Go Bulldogs!”
