From Pipi’s Pasture: 2015 Colorado State Fair livestock results

Diane_Prather
Each year “From Pipi’s Pasture” salutes the junior exhibitors who competed in the Colorado State Fair events. This week’s column is devoted to livestock and dog projects; next week’s will focus on 4-H general project exhibits.
Thanks goes to Jackie Goodnow, Moffat County Extension Office Administrative Supervisor who ran copies of the state fair results, via the Internet, for me. It involved at least a ream of paper — maybe more. I went through every page, picking out Moffat County results. The print is very small, and even though I checked everything twice, I might have missed a name. If I goofed up anywhere, it wasn’t intentional. Just call me at 970-824-8809, and I will correct my error.
Junior livestock exhibitors have to qualify in order to sell their animals in the Colorado State Fair Junior Livestock Sale. It is an honor to be selected. This year, five Moffat County exhibitors qualified. They are: Mackenzie Camblin (market beef); Jerica DeLong (market lamb); Andrea Maneotis (market lamb); Alexi Goodnow (market goat); and Trinity Boulger (market goat).

Moffat County track takes multiple league titles, top 3A male athlete award
It wouldn’t be a league event for Moffat County High School track and field athletes without bringing home some hardware, and the Bulldogs earned some metal last weekend.
