Circumstances of Friday morning fire at Cedar Mountain Trailer Park deemed ‘suspicious’

Craig Press staff report

CRAIG — Craig Fire/Rescue responded Friday, Nov. 30, to an early-morning fire at Cedar Mountain Trailer Park.

Firefighters received the call at about 4:30 a.m. and were able to extinguish a blaze on the southern end of a residence within the trailer park, fully clearing the scene by 8 a.m.

Two parties were present at the incident when it occurred, though there were no injuries, Fire Chief KC Hume said. Flames and smoke did considerable damage to the house and its contents.

Hume said the cause of the fire is uncertain, and circumstances have been “determined suspicious.” Firefighters turned the scene over to Craig Police Department for further investigation.
