Forecast calls for sunny weather for Northwest Colorado

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

After weeks of climate that has changed from day to day, it looks like Northwest Colorado will have a steady week coming up.

The National Weather Service forecast for the week is one of sun and mild temperatures every day. Monday and Tuesday are anticipated to be slightly breezy, but as the week progresses, clear skies and high pressure are expected to translate to a pleasant week of weather.

“It looks like plenty of nothing up there,” said Tom Renwick, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service Grand Junction office.

Renwick added that the highs of about 60 for Wednesday through Saturday are a little higher than usual for this time of the year.

“You usually see highs of about 55, but it’s pretty normal,” he said.

Don’t be surprised if the warmth doesn’t last. Early indicators for next week could mean some sizable activity for the region.

“It’s a little too soon to tell right now,” Renwick said.
