Fitness Tip: Resistance training
Resistance/strength training is an important component of a fitness program. If you have not been strength training there are a couple key points to remember.
• Don’t take the all or nothing approach. It’s better to do a little training than none at all.
• You will benefit from strength training even one day per week.
• Focus on control. If you are unable to use proper, safe form when performing an exercise then you are likely using too much weight and could get injured.
