Fitness tip: Pre-exercise snacks
Before you start your exercise routine, it is important to consider a pre-exercise snack. This will be the immediate fuel you need to get started and keep moving.
Good complex and simple carbohydrates consumed together are the key. A good example is whole-wheat toast with fruit.
This combination gives you these key carbohydrates which are easily digested and shouldn’t bog you down. Complex carbohydrates will keep your metabolism running, while the fruit adds an extra kick of quick energy.
