Fitness Tip: How’s your core?
Core strength is a very important component of any fitness program.
The “core” refers to the muscles in the abdomen and pelvis. Imagine your body as it if were a house, where the core is the foundation and the rest of the body is the structure.
If the foundation of the house is weak, the rest of the structure can be affected. Similarly, if your core is not strong, the rest of your body can be distressed.
Adding some simple Pilates and yoga exercises to your exercise regimen are great ways to improve core strength.
