Fitness Tip: Balance your exercise regimen

The Memorial Hospital

It is important to balance your exercise routine with both aerobic activities and resistance training. Aerobic activities such as walking, jogging and biking are great for increasing heart health, improving endurance and burning fat.

Resistance training activities such as weight-lifting and Pilates are good for increasing bone density, improving muscular strength and reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Both aerobic activities and resistance training help in managing and decreasing the risk of diabetes and improving overall sense of well-being.

By mixing both types of training activities, you will receive more health benefits and meet your fitness goals!
