— Some players you might not have considered in your fantasy basketball draft or passed up on the waiver wire are starting to make some noise in the association. There are also a few injured players floating around on the waiver wire who are sure to be a valuable commodity in December when they make their returns to action.

Let’s take a look at some injured players.

• Manu Ginobili, shooting guard, Spurs – He might not make it back from the injured list until some time in December, but Manu is worth picking up if he’s been dropped in your league. He has an all around game that is hard to pass up when he’s sitting right there on the waivers. If teamwork were a stat, he’d be battling for the No. 1 spot every year. His game is so well rounded, it’s hard to find any weaknesses in it.

• Shane Battier, small forward, Houston Rockets – The Rockets are going to find a way to get Battier minutes when he comes back, there’s no doubt about it. He’s a great guy to have on your fantasy team because he does all the dirty work like getting over a steal and a block every game. He’s also a great shot and can nail a few 3-pointers every game.

There are some young guns in the association making a name for themselves, as well. Whether you’re playing in a roto league or a head-to-head format, you might want to look at these guys.

• Jeff Green, power forward, Oklahoma City Thunder – Green is available in 32 percent of Yahoo leagues right now, and I suggest picking him up if he’s available in your league. He is averaging more than 15 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists a game. Some people have even compared the youngster to Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers.

• Jeff Foster, power forward/center, Indiana Pacers – If you’re looking for someone to fill up the lane for you while grabbing rebounds, blocking shots and a little of everything else, I recommend Jeff Foster. He’s as consistent as it gets when it comes to rebounds and good field goal percentage. He might not win the points category for you, but he is an effective big man who plays hard every night.

Without going into detail, here are a few other players worth a look : JaVale Mcgee, Beno Udrih, Anthony Carter and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.
