Family thanks Craig, community for helping boy buy Action Trackchair
One little boy in Craig will start the sixth grade with a new sense of freedom as a result of the big gift he received from the community.
Jeremiah Price, who prefers to be called J.P., received his Action TrackChair on Wednesday.
The community came together to raise over $12,000 to help J.P buy the specialty mobility device.
“Thank you for making this possible,” said J.P.s mother Crystal.
J.P. has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a disease that causes progressive weakening of the muscles and leads to death. He has been confined to a wheelchair and unable to stand on his own since March.
The Action Trackchair is an all-terrain chair that moves on a track. Unlike a traditional wheel chair; the Action Trackchair allows J.P. to stand.

With an above-average snowpack following a snowy winter, local firefighters and wildlife experts are expecting a mild fire season this year, especially at higher elevations.
