Fair board seeks entries for Friday’s parade

The Moffat County Fair Board will be having a parade this year in connection with the 84th Annual Moffat County Fair.

This year will be the 100th year celebration of the 4-H groups.

The fair board is encouraging all ages and groups as well as auto dealerships to put together floats for the event. The board is looking for a wide variety of entries including tractors old and new, old cars, as well as entries from motorcycle groups, horse clubs, bikers, from clubs, youth groups and all organizations.

The Craig Lions Club will be hosting this event. The parade will begin at 4 p.m. Friday. The staging area will be at 7th and Breeze at 3:30 p.m. There are not entry fees.

For more information, contact the Moffat County Extension Office at 539 Barclay St. at 824-9180 or fax 824-9169.

Houston, we have a problem

The rocket launch that was scheduled this year at the fair has been canceled because of high fire danger. The fair board advises those who made rockets this year to save them for next year.
