Recommended Stories For You

Yes, and this is my 15th year overall : teaching.

Did you have any other teaching

jobs in the district before you had this one?

I was a Spanish and U.S. history teacher.

What do you think is the best part of your job as a librarian?

There (are) a lot of best parts about it. There’s working with the students and the teachers, helping them : do projects and assignments and helping teachers design and create or find the materials that work with their units and lessons.

The other fun part of it is running the library – buying books, buying materials, (working with) computer databases that people will use. It’s a challenge to get materials in here that will make the library useful.

What’s your favorite MCHS activity?

Football. Of course, football.

How long have you been a coach at MCHS?

I think I’m in the middle of my seventh year of coaching.

What’s the best part about your coaching position?

Coaching just involves a lot of trying to get young men working together, playing hard and enjoying the game. That’s what I enjoy about it – that’s why I coach, because (I) like to see all pieces of a team come together. At any given time, there (are) 11 people on the field with 11 different responsibilities. And, when it works, it’s beautiful. It really is. :. And then obviously, being around the students : and working with the coaches – it’s a lot of fun. It’s a lot of hours, but it’s a lot of fun.
