Evelyn Tileston: Nielson for city council

To the editor:

The first “YES” marked on my ballot in the upcoming Craig City Council election will be in support of Kent Nielson with no hesitation at all. I know Kent to be a man of his word, an honorable, trustworthy, thoughtful decision-maker who always thinks, reasons and researches before he speaks. I would trust Kent in any situation, being very comfortable knowing that he is helping to run our city.

Concerned about Craig’s substance abuse problem and seeing the potential for danger to our youth, Kent worked to organize and grow the Grand Futures Prevention Coalition, thus providing alternative activities and community education. In addition to serving as Grand Futures executive director, Kent has been in private business, managed several local businesses, served on Craig City Council and was active in the Craig Lions Club.

I know Kent to be dedicated to his family, his church and his community. We need more people like Kent in all phases of government. We could not do better than to elect him to our city council.
