Enrollment in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library reopens for Moffat County

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

— The Moffat County Youth United Way and Connections 4 Kids, the early childhood council serving Moffat and Rio Blanco counties, says registration for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has reopened for Moffat County residents.

The program offers age-appropriate books to children from birth to 5. Free to families, all children who register receive a free book mailed to their home once a month until their fifth birthday.

Families can enroll by visiting http://www.Connections4Kids.org or the Craig, Maybell or Dinosaur branches of Moffat County Libraries.

Registration previously was suspended after more children enrolled than were anticipated based on national projections.

“We were overwhelmed by the response we received to the program and are thrilled that families value literacy for their young children,” Connections 4 Kids coordinator Michelle Balleck said in a news release. “We are excited to reopen registration for Moffat County’s youngest community members thanks to generous donations from local organizations, businesses and individuals.”
