Electing Heath better for Colorado’s tourism industry

To the Editor:

As a resident of a tourist community, I believe we need a new Governor in Denver and I plan to vote for Rollie Heath this time around.

With the “All of Colorado is on fire” Owens really hurt our tourist turnout this summer and I haven’t heard that he has come up with an idea to improve the situation since then.

Tourism makes a significant contribution to Colorado’s economy but the businesses up here have been really hurting.

We need leadership in the Governor’s office to promote tourism. I asked Rollie Heath what he would do to help us out. He’s pledged to recruit the professional staff required to develop and execute a first-rate tourism campaign.

He knows the importance of working with local officials in the I-70 corridor to develop a plan for a workable regional transportation system.

He also plans to recruit more national and international airlines to fly into DIA and regional airports.

Please consider voting for Rollie Heath on Nov. 5.
