As Craig students prepare to head back into the classroom, they blew off the last bit of summer steam Monday night in the best seasonal way possible.

Moffat County Youth Action Council hosted a Slip n’ Slide event on the hill of Moffat County High School, open to high school, middle school and elementary ages.

Plastic mats with soap and paint and water provided by Craig Fire/Rescue got kids both both messy and thrilled as they hit the slides repeatedly.

MCYAC — paired with Partners for Youth — also offered raffle prizes and refreshments for the evening, which followed freshman orientation at MCHS.
