EDP shows support for local airports
December 18, 2008
Craig — The Craig/Moffat Economic Development Partnership will spend as much as $2,500 to advertise with the Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden and the Craig/Moffat County Airport.
Darcy Trask, EDP director, said her organization’s benefit from advertising at each airport may be nominal, but the important thing is that EDP supports them both because they are important to Moffat County’s economic future.
The EDP board also approved at its Wednesday meeting as much as $1,000 in expenditures for “promotional items,” specifically as many as 100 coffee mugs and between 200 and 500 pens. The items will be for those who have helped the group in the past and for businesses that visit the area.
Finally, EDP will buy a replacement laptop computer power cord from the Craig Chamber of Commerce for about $150. The Chamber has a used cord it agreed to sell for less than the cord’s $185 retail price.
Audrey Danner, newly appointed Moffat County commissioner, also resigned from the EDP board as a representative of Yampa Valley Partners. She said she wanted to “clear the table” of any potential conflicts of interest.
She added that she will transition out of her position as Yampa Valley Partners executive director in the future.
