Dr. Jessica German: Life’s too short for negativity

Editor’s note: A letter in the Nov. 22 Craig Daily Press, D.A. Berryhill criticized Dr. Jessica German, a local chiropractor, for a column about flu vaccines. German said the vaccine was not proven to be safe or effective.

To the editor:

To the misunderstood Berryhill: I appreciate your response, because that is the whole idea behind Health Topics. I see that you completely misunderstand the concept of Health Topics, which is simply to provide information on the alternative (holistic) side of various topics. The holistic way of living has been around much longer than medicine and continues to be more of a demand, even in your community. The information provided is to help people make their own health decisions, and not settle with what an authoritative party tells them to do. Knowledge is the best weapon, and when you stop learning, you stop growing.

I have trained with Dr. Fred Lowry, who is an intelligent pharmacist. He has written excellent articles on controversial topics, such as the flu vaccine, and he provides his expertise to a network of holistic practitioners and healers for us to purchase and share the information and common beliefs so we don’t have to re-invent the wheel.

My purpose in life is to use my desire, passion and determination to inspire others to live a life of wellness and vitality. I realize not everyone believes what I believe, but you don’t know what I know. I feel responsible to share what I know with the people in this community who want to grow and live a healthy life. I thoroughly love what I do, and that is why I am currently one of 40 holistic practitioners training in the most advanced nutritional testing in this country.

To address your overall response to this article, it is well known that when there is something that evokes anger in a person, there is something in your life that you have not addressed related to that subject. I encourage you to evaluate your lifestyle and channel your energy in a more positive, healthy direction. This life we have is precious and too short for perpetual negativity.

Again, thank you for your response.

Dr. Jessica German, D.C.
