Doris A. McFarland

Craig resident Doris A. McFarland died Aug. 26, 2002, at The Memorial Hospital. She was 73.

McFarland was born May 6, 1929, in Cantrell, Iowa, to Harry and Hazel (Potter) Walker. She was raised and attended school in Steamboat Springs.

She married Calvin K. McFarland on Nov. 16, 1946, in Steamboat Springs. They lived in Steamboat until moving to Silt, Colo., in 1969. In 1971, they moved to Craig and McFarland has lived here since.

She enjoyed crocheting and collecting dolls, bells and wind chimes.

McFarland is survived by her daughter, Tammy Rae (Ken) McKillip, of Kingman, Ariz.; sons, Calvin Lee (Donna) McFarland, of Dayton, Nev., Clyde W. (Patricia) McFarland, of Denam Springs, La., and Randolf K. McFarland, of Craig; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and brothers, Clyde (Vonda) Walker, of Salt Lake City, Utah., and Allen (Patricia) Walker of Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dean and Gene; sisters, Annabelle and Lucille; husband, Calvin; daughter, Sandra Hinton; and five grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 30, 2002, at Grant Mortuary with Rod Compton officiating. Interment followed at the Craig Cemetery.
