Donna Gill: Teen awareness

To the editor:

February is nationally recognized as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. We are saying a huge thank you to the county commissioners and the mayor, along with the city councilman for proclaiming it so on a local level as well. With the help and support of Mr. McCormick and staff at the Moffat County High School as well as Mr. Grabowski, Lara Sigmon and the staff at the Craig Middle School, we were able to reach out to all sixth- through 12th-grade students. A big, big thank you to the following businesses for donating prizes for us to give to participating students: Walmart, Kmart, Village Inn, McDonalds, Subway, Thunder Rolls Bowling Center, Spirit Pass, Furniture Connections, Dominos and City Market. Without the help and support of an amazing community we would not be able to do the work we do. Thank you all so much!
