Donald Clyde O’Brien: 1920 — 2005

Donald Clyde O’Brien died Dec. 8, 2005, at his home of heart failure. He was 85.

O’Brien was born on June 8, 1920, in Wadena, Minn. He graduated from high school in Sault Centre.

O’Brien served in the Army in Guam and Hawaii as a mechanic. He later became an electrician. He married Lora Hogue on Sept. 8, 1974. She was his second wife.



O’Brien is survived by his wife, Lora; son Donald Jr. and an adopted son James, from his first marriage; stepdaughter, Deena, from his second marriage and several grandchildren.

A graveside service was at 1 p.m. Dec. 13, 2005, at the Veterans Cemetery of Grand Junction.



Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Society of the Grand Valley.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Snell-McLean Funeral Home in Fruita.
