Decisions from Craig City Council

The Craig City Council met at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Actions taken were:

Renewal of the tavern liquor license for the OP Bar & Grill.

Renewal of the retail liquor store license for Dark Horse Discount Liquor.

A special events permit for the Boys & Girls Club annual Cowboy Christmas from 4 p.m. to midnight Dec. 3 was approved.

A request for a variance of a front yard setback for a garage at 810 Taylor St. was approved.

Approval of a final plan for the Havrilla Minor Subdivision.

Dave Naples was unable to present a progress report on activities at the Wyman History Museum.

Tom Sullivan, Routt County Manager, discussed the Yampa Valley Regional Airport.

Approved a request from Craig Police Department to purchase a Kevlar shield for the special response team for $1,860 from SRT Supply.

Approved a request from the Craig Police Department to purchase seven ballistic vests for $4,452 from the Internet Public Safety Warehouse.

Approved a resolution to support Referendum 1A.

Approved a change order for the 2005 asphalt work, which decreased in cost by $7,000.

Approved a change order for the South Glen Erie Water Tank Painting Project, which increased in cost $4,539 because another coat of epoxy was needed to seal the bottom of the tank.
