Debbie Medina: Thanks for the aid, Good Samaritans
I would love to thank the Good Samaritans who helped me during our huge snowstorm about a month ago.
My husband was out of town, and it was just myself and my granddaughter. The road had just opened on 40 and as I was turning into Western Knolls, a car had already slid and was stuck. I did not see them until after the turn and I plowed right into the snowbank barely striking her car.
I was stuck as well including three other vehicles behind me. A gentleman in a greenish-brown truck stopped to help the lady in front of me. After he finished getting her out, he hooked me up and pulled me out all the way to the “Y.”
There was also another gentleman who helped the others get out as well. I wish I had gotten their names. As I traveled further, about two houses away, I got stuck again in a drift and the Christophers pulled us out and let us warm up in their home. This is a little late, but I would love to thank them all. What a great community we have and people willing to go out of their way to help each other.
Thank you, thank you!
The “Historic Donation” article in June 12’s newspaper brings up several questions in my mind.
