Death of Meeker man under investigation by Rio Blanco county sherrif
On Dec. 29, 1999, about 2:22 a.m., Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Department dispatch received a 911 call from the White River Nacholite Plant located 22 miles southwest of Meeker. The caller said a worker possibly had cardiac arrest with no pulse or breathing.
At 3:07 a.m. Airlife advised dispatch that the man was deceased. The man was identified as Rio Blanco resident Raymond L. Goodrich, 49. Goodrich had earlier called his wife to pick him up at work because he was not feeling well. Sheriff Phil Stubblefield said the death is under investigation and an autopsy will be performed in Grand Junction. (Information provided by Rio Blanco Sheriff Phil Stubblefield.)
