David H. Burns: Strike 3

To the editor:

A man asked me the other day what I thought about a person that would clear snow, muck and other debris off of his lot, and a city alley, and dump that sluice onto his neighbors paved and occupied property.

I told him I didn’t know what to think about someone who would do that.

I know the city would have a problem with anyone other than the city “maintaining” a city alley. I asked him if he would be willing to file trespassing charges.

He said he is willing to file them against landowner, operator, whomever. This is strike three he told me.

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

I left it at that.
