The Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials are today to Sunday in Meeker. There will be a craft fair, art contest, barbecue and other activities. Tickets will be sold at the gate only. A five-day pass for adults is $30. The pass for children ages 8 to 16 costs $15.

Thursday, Sept. 8

9 a.m. A high school golf tournament is at Yampa Valley Golf Course.

9:30 a.m. The Craig Book Club will meet at the home of Lucille Wellman. “Flyboys,” by James Bradley will be reviewed. For information, call Lucille at 824-0268.

Friday, Sept. 9

6 p.m. “Women in His Image,” a Christian conference for women of every faith, begins at First Christian Church, 960 W. Victory Way. The event continues Saturday.

6:45 p.m. The Craig Elks Club hosts bingo night every Friday. Doors open at 6 p.m.

7 p.m. The Moffat County High School football team plays Battle Mountain at Bulldog Stadium.

7 p.m. Habitat for Humanity will be collecting clothes for the Labor of Love Clothing Drive to benefit the hurricane victims at the Moffat County High School home football game. The group will accept clean, used clothing or any new clothing items, as well as cash donations to help ship the clothes to the Gulf Coast. Call 824-7087.

Saturday, Sept. 10

9 a.m. Bears Ears Sportsman’s Club fall range cleanup takes place at the Cedar Mountain shooting range on Routt County Road 7. Save $5 on membership renewal by volunteering for the cleanup. For more information, call Laura Tyler at 824-5148.
