The Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials are Sept. 7 to 11 in Meeker. There will be a craft fair, art contest, barbecue and other activities. Tickets will be sold at the gate only. A five-day pass for adults is $30. The pass for children ages 8 to 16 costs $15.

9 a.m. A high school golf tournament is at Yampa Valley Golf Course.
