8:30 a.m. The Bureau of Land Management’s Little Snake Field Office hosts a GPS/geocache tutorial at the BLM office, 455 Emerson St., followed by a clean-up at Cedar Mountain at 10 a.m. and a barbecue and raffle. Call Gina Robison at 826-5083.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Craig Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration host the National Prescription Drug Take-Back day at Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. Residents can anonymously drop off unused prescription and over-the-counter medications.

10 a.m. The Moffat County High School cross-country team hosts its fall invitational at Loudy-Simpson Park, 500 S. Ranney St.



10 a.m. The Moffat County High School rodeo team hosts its home meet at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. Admission is free.

Noon to 2 p.m. The Craig Coffee Party meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The meeting is open to the public. Call Jim Blevins at 824-4564.



1:30 p.m. The Preserving the Last Frontier organization hosts a meeting in the second-floor conference room at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford St. There will be a presentation on early oil and gas exploration in Moffat County. The meeting is open to the public. Call 824-6761.

2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Black Mountain Theatre presents “Moffat County’s Last Stand,” an original play by Craig’s David Morris, at Craig Middle School auditorium, 915 Yampa Ave. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

6:15 p.m. American Legion Post 62 hosts bingo at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.

Sunday, Sept. 26

8 a.m. The Little Snake River Museum and the Little Snake River Valley Education Center’s 16th annual historical and educational fall trek departs from Baggs, Wyo. The 70-mile trek ends in Hayden and is offered free of charge. Attendees should provide their own transportation, lunch, water and chairs. RSVP to (307) 383-6861.
