1 p.m. The Moffat County High School boys varsity soccer team plays Glenwood Springs High School at Loudy-Simpson Park, 500 S. Ranney St.

3 p.m. The Moffat County High School freshmen volleyball team plays Battle Mountain High School at the Craig Middle School gymnasium, 915 Yampa Ave.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.

9 p.m. to midnight. The Moffat County High School Homecoming dance takes place on the first floor of the school, 900 Finley Lane.

Sunday, Oct. 3

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The OP Bar & Grill, 534 E. Victory Way, hosts a fundraiser for Maria Ellis. The day includes a car show, a silent auction and a spaghetti dinner. The cost of the meal is $7. For more information, call Diane at 824-8918 or Karen at 824-8342.

1 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County hosts a magic show at the Moffat County High School auditorium, 900 Finley Lane. Tickets, good for free admission for children under 13 or $1 off for adults, are available at businesses around Craig.

1 to 4 p.m. Happy Hands Crochet Club meets at the south back building at 655 Ranney St. There is no club cost, and anyone who is interested in learning to crochet may attend. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

5 p.m. United Mine Workers of America host a meeting at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave. Call Fran Lux at 824-4134.

7 p.m. The Craig Concert Association presents Redhead Express in its first concert of the 2010-11 season at the Moffat County High School auditorium, 900 Finley Lane. The show is free with a season membership, which is $35 for adults, $10 for students or $80 for a family. The show is $20 at the door for those without memberships.
