9:30 a.m. The Craig Book Club meets at the First Congregational Church of Christ, 630 Green St. Susie Begam-Violette will review Stieg Larsson’s trilogy, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” “The Girl Who Played with Fire” and “The Girls Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.” Susan Domer is the hostess. Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Story-time takes place at the Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. Families can enjoy guest speakers, skits, activities and songs. The theme of this event is National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work Day. Call 824-5116.
11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunset Elementary School is having a fundraiser with the Craig Pizza Hut, 1070 W. Victory Way. A portion of sales will be donated to the school if customers indicate that they would like to contribute to the fundraiser. The offer is valid on dine-in, carryout or delivery. 6:30 p.m. An informational meeting for the annual We See D.C. trip is in the library at Craig Middle School, 915 Yampa Ave. Any student in sixth to ninth grades, parents, grandparents and community members are welcome to go on the trip. Call Courtney Jenison at 824-5651.
6:30 p.m. The local tea party hosts a meeting with Bob McConnell, a Steamboat Springs resident and former candidate for Colorado’s Third Congressional District, at American Legion Post 62, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Rick Barnes will also discuss Amendments 60 and 61, and Proposition 101. Call Billie Jacobs at 824-0339.
