The Craig branch of Moffat County Libraries is closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for inventory.

7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Boys & Girls Club of Craig will hold a play day. Lunch will be provided for all members present at 11:30 a.m., as well as snacks. Dinner will not be served. Call 826-0411.

6 p.m. There will be a freshman parents night in the Moffat County High School library, where parents can meet some of the staff as well as get information about the high school. Call 824-7036.



Tuesday, Oct. 11
8:30 a.m. Moffat County Commissioners meet in the commissioner chambers of the Moffat County Courthouse.

6 p.m. There will be a senior parent meeting in the Moffat County High School library. Attend Tuesday or Wednesday. Call Paula Duzik at 824-7036.



6:30 p.m. Neighborhood Watch, a subcommittee of COMA, meets the second Tuesday of each month in The Memorial Hospital cafeteria.

7:30 p.m. The Craig City Council meets at City Hall.

Wednesday, Oct. 12
The Craig branch of the Moffat County Library hosts a pumpkin-decorating contest through Oct. 26. The contest is open to all ages. Pumpkins, squash and gords can be entered. No carvings will be allowed.

A new monthly book club will meet to discuss “The Book of Secrets” by Deepak Chopra. Call Sue Lewis at 824-5813 or Dee Johnson at 824-2673.

4 p.m. Past and present Boys & Girls Club members are invited to celebrate a grand opening of a Kids Cafe program at the Boys & Girls Club, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. Call 826-0411.

Thursday, Oct. 13
10 to 11 a.m. The Moffat County Library hosts story-hour. The topic is feelings.

11 a.m. to noon The Moffat County Library hosts story-hour. The topic is feelings.

11:30 a.m. The Board of Directors for the Craig Chamber of Commerce meets at the Holiday Inn.

Noon: The Republican Women will host a forum regarding the upcoming election ballot questions at the Holiday Inn. Speakers will address all three questions and there will be a question and answer session. Everyone is welcome. State Sen. Jack Taylor will be speaking about the state questions.

6 p.m. There will be a senior parent meeting in the Moffat County High School library.

Friday, Oct. 14
Craig Women’s Hockey begins. All ability levels and girls older than 14 are welcome to sign up. Call Gayle at 824-8048 or Charlene at 824-7800.

9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Playgroup is every Friday at the preschool located in the School Administration Building, 775 Yampa Ave. Ages birth to kindergarten welcome.

Saturday, Oct. 15
10 a.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County will meet at the Golden Cavvy Restaurant. All interested people are invited. For more information, call 870-7500.

11 a.m. to noon The Moffat County Library hosts story-hour.
