7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunset Elementary School hosts a Scholastic Book Fair. Open to families, teachers and the community, the fair will feature the medieval theme: Enter the Kingdom of Reading — Where Books Rule.

4 to 6 p.m. There will be a flu shot clinic at The Visiting Nurse Association. No appointment is necessary. Adult shots are $18, and children’s shots range from free to $15 on a sliding fee schedule.

5:15 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County will meet at the Golden Cavvy Restaurant, 538 Yampa Ave. The meeting is open to the public. Call 870-7500.

5 to 6 p.m. Visitors to the Craig branch of the Moffat County Library, 570 Green St., can learn how to create journals, make holiday gifts and tell family stories.

Tuesday, Nov. 8

8:30 a.m. Moffat County commissioners meet every Tuesday in the Moffat County Court House, 300 Fourth St.

Noon to 3 p.m. Love Inc. will distribute coats to people in need, regardless of income. The group will distribute coats at the Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center, 356 Ranney St. For information, call 824-5204.

6:30 p.m. Communidad Integrada will host a presentation on civil rights and responsibilities at Craig Intermediate School, 201 E. Ninth St. Organizers will present the workshop in English and Spanish. The event is open to the public.

7:30 p.m. Craig City Council meets the second and fourth Tuesday every month in City Hall, 300 W. Fourth St.

Wednesday, Nov. 9

7 p.m. Overeaters Anonymous meets each Wednesday at the First Congre–gational Church. Call 629-2683.

Thursday, Nov. 10

8 a.m. to Noon The Landlord Asso–ciation will offer a training session at the Craig Police Department Safety Center, 800 First St. The session is open to the public. Call John Barr at 824-7120.

9:30 a.m. The Craig Book Club meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. Club members will review “The Mermaid Chair,” by Sue Monk Kidd. For information, call Marge, 824-2426.

6:30 p.m. Moffat County School District Board of Education will meet in the board room of the administration building, 775 Yampa Ave.

Friday, Nov. 11

9 a.m. Friends of the Library is hosting a used-book sale at Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way, throughout the day. The group will accept book donations before the sale at Moffat County Library, 570 Green St. Call the library at 824-5116.

11 a.m. Members of the local VFW post will conduct a veterans’ memorial ceremony at Moffat County High School’s flagpole, 775 Yampa Ave.

Noon to 7 p.m. Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way, will host a holiday craft show.

Saturday, Nov. 12

Moffat County veterans and their widows are encouraged to bring a guest and attend the annual VFW Post 4265 prime rib dinner at the Moffat County Pavilion. The dinner is free. The deadline to make reservations is Monday, Nov. 7. Reservations are required. Call 824-1793 or 824-2923.
