The deadline to register for the Healthy Lunch program is today. Healthy Lunch is from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the CSU Extension Office. The cost is $2 a person. Register by calling 824-9180.

9 a.m. Community Coat Drive distribution is at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St., until noon. Anyone who needs a coat may come. One coat a person a year. Parents may pick up coats for children. The coat drive runs through Friday. Call 826-6836.

6 p.m. New member and parent orientation will be held at the Boys and Girls Club, 1324 U.S. Highway 40. New members, parents and interested community members are encouraged to attend. Call 826-0411.



7 p.m. The Craig Community Neighborhood watch, part of the Communities Overcoming Meth Abuse task force, will meet at The Memorial Hospital, 785 Russell St., in the cafeteria. This is the second of four consecutive Tuesday meetings to jump-start the community watch. All members of the community are welcomed to attend.
Wednesday, Dec. 1
8:30 a.m. Mothers of Preschoolers meets at Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave., until 11. The cost of $6 includes breakfast, crafts and speakers. Children are welcome. Call 824-0101.

6:30 p.m. The Parent’s Toolbox — How to Enjoy Being a Parent, a free parent education and support group for parents of preschool- through elementary- school aged children, will meet in the boardroom at the Moffat County Administration Building, 775 Yampa Ave., until 8 p.m. This meeting’s topic is consistency and how to be respected by your child. 10 a.m. Children’s story hour will be held at the Moffat County Library, 570 Green St. Another story hour will be held at 11 a.m. Activities are after stories. RSVP by calling 824-5116.

4:30 p.m. The Bureau of Land Management Little Snake Field Office and Northwest Fire Center, 455 Emerson St., is holding an open house until 7 p.m. to celebrate the dedication of its new administration building. Refreshments and treats will be served; activities will include slide shows, display of firefighting equipment and formal dedication of the new building. There will be a mixer with food, entertainment and giveaways from 5 to 7 p.m. Call the Chamber of Commerce to RSVP at 824-5689.

6 p.m. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will have a display of nativity sets at its meeting house at Ninth Street and Finley Lane until 8 p.m. Call Coleen Fenton at 824-9638.

7 p.m. The Craig Music Parents will hold a meeting at the music room at Moffat County High School. The meeting is open to all parents. Attendance lets the school administration know that we value our music programs as much as we value our sports programs. Show support for your band or choir student and plan to attend. 7 p.m. Yampa Valley Sewing Guild will meet at the First Congregational Church, 630 Green St.. All seamstresses are invited. Call Pat, 824-3324.

7 p.m. The Ski Club will be holding a mandatory meeting in the Craig Middle School auditorium for all who have enrolled in the club. Children younger than 19 must attend with a parent. Noon Healthy Lunch workshop is being held at the CSU extension office, 539 Barclay St. For $2, people interested in eating more healthfully can participate in preparing eight holiday recipes, receive a recipe booklet and learn about more nutritious eating. Saturday, Dec. 4
6 a.m. The Substance Abuse Prevention Program is hosting a pancake breakfast fund-raiser until 11 a.m. at Craig’s McDonald’s. Tickets are $3 each and can be purchased from Moffat County School District students who are in third through sixth grade or from the Craig Police Department. Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships, after school programs and DARE. Call the police department at 826-2360.

9 a.m. The Mite Society of the First Christian Church will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale until noon today at the fellowship hall, 960 W. Victory Way. Home baked items, hand embroidered and crocheted items as well as crafts will be for sale. Call 824-6773.

9 a.m. The Rocking “A” Scholarship Fund Christmas Craft Bazaar will be at the Exhibit Hall in Hayden.
