Flags on all state and federal buildings are to be lowered today in honor of Marine Lance Cpl. Brandon Pearson, a 21-year-old Arvada man who was killed in action Nov. 4 in Afghanistan.

1 p.m. Hayden High School, the No. 9 seed, plays a Class 1A playoff football game against No. 1 seed Wray at HHS, 495 W. Jefferson St. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and free for seniors.



1 to 5 p.m. Thunder Rolls Bowling center hosts Veterans Day activities, 990 Industrial Avenue. Veterans bowl for free. At 3 p.m., the bowling center will have a flag dedication ceremony and draw raffle winners. Call 824-2695.

4 p.m. The God Delusion/Reason for God discussion group meets at McDonald’s. The group discusses topics on both sides of faith.

10 to 11 a.m. National Arthritis Foundation swimming takes place at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

Noon. Al-Anon, a group for friends and family members of alcoholics, meets at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Lois at 824-4147.

5 to 6:30 p.m. The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries hosts Family Game Night. The event is open to the public. Call 824-5116.
