9 a.m. Moffat County Pest Man–agement, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Inspection Service, and the Plant Protection and Quarantine, will sponsor a free one-day workshop relating to rangeland grasshoppers and Morman crickets. The workshop will be held at Shadow Mountain Clubhouse. Call 824-9180 or stop by 539 Barclay St. The course is approved for 5 pesticide re-certification credits.

Noon Friends of the Library group meets for a brown bag lunch at the Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. Call 824-5116.



7 p.m. The Neighborhood Watch, a subcommittee of COMA, meets in the cafeteria at The Memorial Hospital.

7 p.m. The Craig Middle School Extravaganza Concert featuring both the choir and the band will be held in the CMS auditorium.

9:30 a.m. The Craig Book Club meets at Serendipity coffee shop. The book “Prince of the Clouds” will be discussed. Call Susie at 824-1956.

7 p.m. The Moffat County High School Extravaganza Concert, featuring both the choir and the band will perform in the high school auditorium.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by their parents or present a signed permission slip from a parent. Medicaid recipients should bring their card. Call VNA at 824-8233.

7 p.m. The Jeremiah People, a Christian music theater group, will perform at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1050 Yampa Ave.

8 a.m. As part of the Craig Clean-Up Days, the Craig Solid Waste Department will be accepting tires without rims and appliances from city and county residents until 4 p.m.

10 a.m. The Moffat County Humane Society meets at the Golden Cavvy Restaurant. Anyone interested should attend. Call 870-7500 for more information.

7 p.m. Craig Women’s Bowling Association will hold its spring meeting at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 419 E. Victory Way. There will be discussion concerning the transition into the United States Bowling Congress. This meeting is for election of officers and a director. Thursday, May 19

7:30 a.m. Craig Senior Citizens are going to see the Rockies play the Giants at Coors Field. They plan to be back in Craig by 9:30 p.m. The cost of the trip is $35. Space is limited. Call 826-2004 to sign up.
