7:30 a.m. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office hosts its annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament at Yampa Valley Golf Course, 2179 Highway 394. The fee for the tournament is $40 per player or $160 per team. Call Rick Holford at 826-2308.

8 to 10:30 a.m. The annual Huck Finn Fun Fishing Day takes place at Loudy-Simpson Park pond. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 and Ladies Auxiliary are sponsoring the event. The event is open to children ages 1 to 12. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and fishing begins at 8:30 a.m. Gift certificates and prizes will be given out. There also is a Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher costume contest.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents host a Deaf Social behind Calvary Baptist Church at 1050 Yampa Ave. There will be a free barbecue, a skit show and a deaf guest speaker, Christopher Harvey, of Broken Arrow, Okla. Afterward, the group will head to Elkhead Reservoir for free fishing. Attendees must take their own equipment. Call 824-2547 for more information.

Noon. The Yampa Valley LGBT Pride Committee hosts the sixth annual gay pride event at Loudy-Simpson Park’s west shelter area. All open-minded people are invited to join. Burgers and brats will be served. Guests are asked to bring a side dish. Call or text 970-433-1357.

Noon to 4 p.m. The Colorado State Taxidermy Championships takes place at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $3 and children ages 10 and younger get in free. Call Gayle Zimmerman at 629-2065.

1 p.m. Unicyclists meet at Alice Pleasant Park. Call Kevin Morris at 824-1703.

2 p.m. The Augusta Wallihan Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution celebrate its official organization during a ceremony at the Museum of Northwest Colorado, 590 Yampa Ave. Colorado State Regent Linda Smith-Sandlin will install the new chapter’s officers. Other state officers and regents from across Colorado will join her.

4 p.m. Just Dance recital takes place at Hayden High School, 495 W. Jefferson St. Call Jeni Jones at 629-2651.

6:15 p.m. The American Legion hosts bingo at the Elks Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:15 p.m.

8 p.m. An open meeting of Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous takes place at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call Bud at 824-1793.
